The Big Reveal
In September 2021, Snoop confessed to the world that he was the NFT money-making guru who had been sharing valuable and detailed advice on how to succeed in the world of crypto. The announcement came as a bit of a shock considering he had never been particularly publicly involved in the industry before.
He had tweeted about Dogecoin with a spoof album cover of Snoop Doge, so there were a couple of hints that he was following along, but nothing to suggest he was a high-rolling collector!
What NFTs Are in Snoop Dog’s NFT Collection?
Snoop or Cozomo’s NFT account is on Opensea.io, where he has purchased several premium blue-chip tokens. The most impressive of all is his CryptoPunk collection, of which there are nine. One of them is valued at around $4.7 million- not bad Snoop.
He is also the proud owner of a Pepe Lisa- an ultra-rare and super-exclusive tokenized painting. Add that to several other five and six-figure NFTs, including 10 different Meebits by Larva Labs, and that is one seriously top-grade portfolio.
Has Snoop Sold any NFTs?
Oh yes, he has. On top of selling more than 40 million albums worldwide, the Doggfather also created his own NFT collection that sold for a pretty penny. Entitled ‘A Journey with the Dogg,’ it featured videos, songs, and other exciting content.
Although not all the final selling prices were made public, one piece named Death Row sold for around $108,000. The rest must have done pretty well since he is in the midst of a ground-breaking new drop.
His latest collaboration with Solana and Babolex is an NFT first. Each token purchase includes a 30cm statue of Snoop and a one in ten chance of winning a ticket to a specially held private concert. Considering there are 9,999 NFTs available, that is a lot of tickets up for grabs!
Final Thoughts
Who could have predicted that Snoop Doggy Dogg himself would become a crypto-savvy NFT whale with one of the most impressive collections in the industry? He is not only a talented collector with a wealth of excellent tips and advice to share, but he is also a successful NFT artist with two unique collections.
We salute you, Cozomo de’ Medici!
